About the Experience
This Community Class is designed for movers age 10+ with dance experience.
ABOUT THE GUEST TEACHER: Sidra Bell is the founder of Sidra Bell Dance New York and a dancer, choreographer, and educator. She has been an artist in residence at the University of Oklahoma (Brackett Distinguished Visiting Artist Chair), a Visiting Lecturer and Artist in Residence at Harvard University, and an Adjunct Professor at Barnard College. Bell received a BA in History from Yale University and an MFA in Choreography from Purchase College, SUNY, and is currently pursuing PhD studies. She is the founder of the award-winning MODULE Laboratory and a recent recipient of a Yaddo Artist Residency Award.
Bell has received numerous honors for her work, including First Prize for Choreography at the Solo Tanz Theater Festival in Stuttgart, Germany, a National Dance Project Production Award from NEFA, and a Creative Capital Wild Futures Award. In 2017,…
